About the Artist Peggy Goldblatt My grandmother always said if you use the very best materials then everything you make will be the very best it can be. I hold onto that value and use high quality materials to create handmade, unique designs. I started playing with paper over a decade ago when I began scrapbooking my life story. This eventually led me to making and selling cards. While cards continue to be a passion of mine a more recent spiritual search led me to stones and jewelry. There is something to be said for taking a piece of thread, a few beads or a blank sheet of metal and transforming it into an object of beauty. Jewelry can make such a personal statement, and I enjoy working with people to produce something they truly love to wear. I am so excited with each new technique I learn that I am continually designing new pieces. I have been crafting all of my life, experimenting with a wide variety of mediums and materials such as life drawing, ceramics, painting, knitting, cross stitching, and metalsmithing. I continue to explore different crafts and take classes to expand my repertoire of skills.

What is PMC?
Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a revolutionary material developed and patented by Mitsubishi Materials of Japan, in which tiny particles of pure silver are suspended in an organic binder to create a material that can be worked like modeling clay. I fire PMC pieces in a kiln at 1450F, which burns off the binder and fuses the metal. The result is a solid, pure silver object.
What is Chain mail?
Chain mail is a technique of weaving metal rings to create a mesh structure. Originally created and used by men as suits of armor as in King Arthur's knights or the Crusaders, today women use similar weaves to create beautiful jewelry. I use a variety of sterling silver, 14 karat gold filled (much stronger than pure 14K gold) or colored Anodized niobium rings.
